Terms of Service
Last updated October 4, 2026
The short version: your content is yours. Use the apps lawfully and keep your sign-in safe. Everything is free during early access, and you'll get plenty of notice before anything costs money. The tools help you plan and run shows, but check safety-critical numbers yourself.
1. Who we are
Mantaglow ("Mantaglow", "we", "us") is a set of software tools for live event, broadcast and film production, built and operated by Darian Harmon in Phoenix, Arizona.
By creating an account, downloading a Mantaglow desktop app or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you use Mantaglow for a company or organization, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. The Service
"The Service" means mantaglow.com, your Mantaglow account and the apps that run on it:
- PixelGrid — Map LED walls, patch processor ports with backup pairs, plan power and print the Show Book.
- ShowCall — Run of show with department columns, delay shift, crew links and Companion triggers.
- LoadOut — Prep, pack, load, show, return. Barcode scanning, a 3D truck planner and quotes tied to the project.
- StoryForge — Premise to script, breakdown, shots, storyboards and schedule, in one linked project.
- ClockOut — Crew invoicing with per-day overtime rules, dark days, per diem, mileage and numbered sends.
- TimeLock — Frame-accurate LTC timecode WAVs, 23.976 to 30 fps. No signup.
- ShowBuild — Broadcast camera plans: cameras, lenses and cables on the floor plan.
- TruckPack — The 3D truck planner on its own. Also built into LoadOut.
It also covers our desktop apps (Surface, Headroom, Tally Studio), described in section 9.
We're actively building the Service. Features can be added, changed or retired, and an app may move between being included in your account, sold separately or withdrawn.
3. Your account
- Give accurate sign-up information and keep it current.
- Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for activity on your account; tell us straight away at contact@mantaglow.com if you think someone else has access.
- An account is for one person. Don't share it; invite teammates into your organization instead.
- During early access, signing up may need an invite or an open signup wave. Invite codes are personal: don't publish or sell them.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
4. Organizations and sharing
Your work lives in an organization. Owners and admins can invite and remove members, set what each member can do in each app, and see and manage the organization's data. If you're an owner or admin, you're responsible for who you give access to.
Some apps let you share a view-only link (for example a run of show or a Show Book) with people who don't have an account. Anyone with the link can open it until you revoke it or it expires, so share links with care.
5. Your content
- You own what you put into Mantaglow: projects, maps, rundowns, gear lists, files and everything else ("your content").
- You give us permission to host, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run the Service for you and the people you share it with. We don't sell your content or use it to train AI models.
- Only upload content you have the right to use, including client plans, artwork, footage and other people's personal details.
- You can export or delete your data at any time; see the Privacy Policy. Keep your own backups of anything show-critical.
6. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone else's rights;
- try to access accounts, organizations or systems that aren't yours;
- probe, overload or disrupt the Service or the networks it runs on;
- upload malware or anything designed to cause harm;
- scrape the Service or access it with automated tools, except through features we provide for that;
- resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written agreement.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
7. Early access
- The Service is in early access. Expect rough edges, and features that change or move.
- We don't promise any level of uptime during early access. If we ever need to reset data, we'll give you notice and a chance to export it first.
- If you send feedback or ideas, we can use them to improve Mantaglow without owing you anything for them.
8. Pricing and payments
- The apps in your account are free during early access, and signing up never asks for a card. Current details are on the Pricing page.
- Before paid plans start we'll tell you well in advance, and nothing is charged unless you choose a paid plan. Founding-member discounts work as described on the Pricing page at the time you signed up.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Paid plans renew until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time; your plan stays active to the end of the period you've paid for.
- Desktop apps are free during early access too. If they're priced separately later, we'll tell you in advance.
9. Desktop apps
Surface, Headroom, Tally Studio are installed on your own computer and can run without an internet connection. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use them under these terms. Don't reverse-engineer or redistribute them, except where the law lets you.
Projects in a desktop app stay on your machine unless you sign in to back them up or sync them to your account. You're responsible for that machine, its backups, and testing your setup before a show.
10. Using Mantaglow on a show
Mantaglow helps you plan and run productions, but it doesn't replace professional judgement. Truck load and axle-weight figures, power and cabling plans, rigging-related numbers, timecode, cue triggers and AI suggestions are aids. Check them against the real equipment, the venue and applicable regulations before you rely on them, and keep a fallback for anything safety- or show-critical.
AI features can be wrong. Review anything an AI assistant produces before you use it.
11. Other products and integrations
Mantaglow works with third-party products such as Resolume, disguise, Bitfocus Companion, vMix, NDI® and camera and LED-processor hardware. Those names are trademarks of their owners; Mantaglow isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them. Your use of those products is governed by their own terms, and integrations can stop working if they change.
12. Ending your account
You can stop using Mantaglow and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the Service or other users at risk. If we ever shut down the Service or an app, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
13. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
To the extent the law allows, Mantaglow and Darian Harmon aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or show time. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer, you also keep any rights the law where you live gives you.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Mantaglow changes. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell you by email or in the app before material changes take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.
