Lens and coverage

Pick a sensor format and a lens from the library. ShowBuild draws the field-of-view cone and depth-of-field limits right on the plan. Try it: drag the camera or the mark, pick a lens and zoom. The cone and the frame at the mark are worked out the way ShowBuild does it.

Draw SDI, fiber, triax, Ethernet, XLR, power and more. Add a service loop percentage and get totals by cable type.

Questions

Is ShowBuild finished?

It's in preview. Plotting, lens math, cable schedules and PDF export work today, and the editor is still being polished.

Which lenses are included?

26 broadcast and cinema lenses from Canon, Fujinon, ARRI, Zeiss and Angénieux. Custom sensor sizes are supported too.

What can I use as a floor plan?

A PDF or an image file. Drag it onto the canvas, then calibrate the scale.

Can I keep a copy of my plan?

Yes. Plans save to your Mantaglow account, and you can also save and open a local project file.
